Shira Rubinoff is the Founder and President of Green Armor
Solutions, a vendor of online authentication technologies that
leverage psychology to deliver maximum effectiveness with
maximum convenience for both users and system administrators.
An accomplished businesswoman and well-respected
expert in the human factors of information technology and security,
Ms.Rubinoff was highlighted in 2009 as one of New Jersey’s Best 50 Women in Business by NJBIZ, the leading business publication in one of the world’s largest economies, as well as named by the Executive Women’s Forum and CSO (Chief Security Officer) Magazine
as a Woman of Influence and honored with their 2008 One to Watch award.
Ms. Rubinoff founded her present firm five years ago, led a year and half
long research phase, raised capital, and within a year of releasing products, grew the company to be a profitable concern. She has more than doubled her average deal size annually for three years consecutively, and has led the firm’s recent diversification across multiple industries, leading to a successful OEM deal recently signed with the largest health care related firm in the United States.
Ms Rubinoff’s research into the human factors associated with online authentication, which she performed in 2004/5 and upon which she based the conceptual design of Green Armor’s authentication offerings, was corroborated by independent research performed in 2006/7 at MIT, Harvard, and Berkeley.
Prior to founding Green Armor, Ms. Rubinoff consulted at several financial and medical firms providing guidance in areas related to organizational dynamics and human resources, and practiced as a psychologist. She has published and lectured on topics
related to psychology and information security, holds several patents pending in areas related to the application of psychology to improve the usability of technology, and has been interviewed by media personalities on related topics.
