Rick French brings over 18 years of commercial insurance experience to The Lyons Companies with the last eight of those years devoted solely to servicing the insurance and risk awareness needs of Technology and Manufacturing businesses.
At Lyons, Rick is responsible for the development and success of the Technology Insurance Practice. This department focuses on emerging growth, and middle market businesses engaged, primarily, in the Information Technology, Medical Devices, Telecommunications, Optics, Life Sciences and Electronic industries.
In addition, Mr. French and his team are instrumental in analyzing the specific insurance and risk awareness needs of their clients and designing programs that will protect their success. His responsibilities also include providing due diligence on mergers and acquisitions opportunities and training for regulatory compliance.
Rick is a co-founder of Digital Delaware, a non-profit organization for Technology companies and professionals, and has played a pivotal role in its growing influence in the community.
He holds both the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and the Accredited Advisor of Insurance (AAI) designations, and is a licensed Property, Casualty and Life Insurance agent in the state of Pennsylvania. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ithaca College.
Mr. French is also a member the Association for Corporate Growth, and its sponsorship committee for their annual M&A East Conference. In addition, he has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Entrepreneurs Forum of Greater Philadelphia and as the 2004 Chairman of the Ben Franklin Emerging Business Awards. Since 2005 he has served annually as a judge for the Wharton Business Plan Competition, and is currently a member of the Philly100 Alumni Association
Rick and his wife Liz, live in Ambler with their son and two daughters.
