I joined E.A.R.T.H., based in Mt. Laurel, in November 2009 upon the closing of our A round financing.
Enhanced Agricultural and Renewable Technology Holdings Corporation (E.A.R.T.H.) has developed a unique proprietary technology and related systems to process and refine biomass into solid bio-fuel using supercompaction.
The supercompaction technology converts agricultural biomass (for example, switch grass and other energy crops), as well as agricultural waste products (for example, wood, sugar cane waste and corn stover), into solid, low-moisture bio-fuel that can be used as a replacement for, or may be blended with, coal to generate electricity. The primary advantages of its bio-fuel products include (1) a significant increase in energy efficiency compared to unprocessed feedstock, (2) the ability to acquire feedstock under long term contracts, independent of local geography and (3) generating clean renewable energy with reduced CO2 emissions generating carbon credits and renewable energy credits.
Approximately half of the states in the U.S. have mandated the increased use of renewal energy resources to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels. E.A.R.T.H.’s business plan is to close the gap between the current reliance on fossil fuels and reaching the mandated requirements.
