Ms. Butler is Of Counsel with Volpe and Koenig, P.C., an intellectual property law firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she specializes in litigation of matters involving the infringement of patents, trademarks and copyrights, as well as matters involving false advertising and unfair competition. Her practice also includes licensing of intellectual property and patent and trademark prosecution.
Ms. Butler is the President of the New Jersey Intellectual Property Law Association (NJIPLA), as well as a Barrister of The John C. Lifland American Inn of Court, an association dedicated to fostering and developing federal practice in New Jersey. She is also a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Association of the Federal Bar of the State of New Jersey and the New York Intellectual Property Law Association.
She received her B.S. degree in Biology from Widener University and her J.D. degree from Widener University School of Law. After graduation from law school, Ms. Butler served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Arthur V. Guerrera and the Honorable James E. Isman of the Superior Court of New Jersey.
Ms. Butler is admitted to practice before the bar of New Jersey; the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Third Circuit; the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Jersey, the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
